Fixed Assets General Preferences

You can customize Fixed Assets Management to ensure that fixed assets are managed according to your business requirements..

To set up Fixed Assets Management general preferences:

  1. Go to Fixed Assets > Setup > System Setup.

    Note:

    If the system detects that a reset is needed, you can click Reset Asset Values to start the process. For more information, see Triggering the Asset Reset Process. If you want to trigger the precompute process, click Precompute Depreciation Values. For more information, see Generating Depreciation Schedule Values.

  2. To configure asset and account period preferences, click the Asset Setup subtab. For more information, see FAM Asset Setup Subtab.

  3. To set preferences for asset depreciation, proposal and creation, transfer, disposal, and revaluation, click the Asset Management subtab. For more information, see FAM Asset Management Subtab.

  4. To set up lease preferences, click the Lease Setup subtab. For more information, see FAM Lease Setup Subtab.

  5. Click Save.
