Amazon Categories in NetSuite Connector
When you add an Amazon connector, you need to create and configure categories for your products. Amazon requires sellers to create separate templates to categorize their products. The process of creating Amazon categories varies depending on if you use Amazon Listings API or not.
If you do not use Amazon Listings API, you will need to use the generic category, Amazon, which is created by NetSuite Connector. You need to create custom templates using the generic Amazon category, which has a default set of mappings to facilitate product sync. You can then map all the common fields, such as price, quantity, and SKU.
For information about setting up product sync using the Amazon generic category, see Amazon Category Inheritance for NetSuite Connector.
If you use the latest Amazon Listings API, you can use the AmazonListings category to retrieve all available fields of your supported product types to create your product mappings.
The standard Amazon categories are prefixed with Amazon. For Amazon Listings API, you can add the AmazonListings category and use it to select all your product fields. For example, when setting up Price and Quantity sync using the generic Amazon category, the standard mapping category is AmazonInventoryPrice. If you are using Amazon Listings API, the standard mapping category for Price and Quantity sync is AmazonListingsPriceQty.
For information about setting up product sync when using the latest Amazon Listings API, see Amazon Listings API Categories in NetSuite Connector.
