Amazon Listings API Categories in NetSuite Connector

The Amazon connector in NetSuite Connector now supports mapping to categories taken from Amazon Listings API. If you are using the latest Amazon Listings API with NetSuite Connector, the available categories from Amazon are provided in the list of options. You can add a category in Amazon connector > Mappings > Products screen by clicking the Category drop-down list and selecting Add Category.

The enhancement to Amazon categories in Amazon connector is slowly being rolled out to NetSuite Connector users.

The notable difference when using Amazon Listings API is that the new category, AmazonListings, replaces the Amazon category used previously.

Adding the Amazon Category

You can add categories for mapping from Amazon in the Product Mappings page.

To add a category:

  1. Log in to connector.netsuite.com.

  2. Select the Amazon connector and the relevant account.

  3. Go to Mappings > Products.

  4. In the Product Mappings page, click the Category drop-down field.

  5. All the added categories are listed. To add a new category, click Add Category.

  6. Select AmazonListings.

  7. After adding the AmazonListings category, you will be able to select all the available fields from Amazon categories in the Add Mapping window.

To add the mapping category for Price and Quantity sync:

  1. Log in to connector.netsuite.com.

  2. Select Amazon connector and the relevant account.

  3. Go to Mappings > Products.

    The Product Mappings page appears.

  4. In the Category list, select Add Category.

  5. On the Add New Amazon Category/Template popup window, click No.

    This step ensures that updates will change only the price and quantity of existing items. New items that do not exist yet in Amazon will not be created.

  6. On the product mappings page, verify that the AmazonListingsPriceQty option appears in the Category list.

  7. Click Save.

    You can now complete your product mappings for Price and Quantity sync.

Creating the Flag Field Mapping and Category Mapping

Create flag field mapping and category mapping for your Amazon connector.

To create the flag field mapping and category mapping:

  1. Log in to connector.netsuite.com.

  2. Select Amazon connector and the relevant account.

  3. Go to Mappings > Products.

  4. From the Category list, select one of the following categories:

    • For price and quantity sync, select AmazonListingsPriceQty.

    • For full product sync, select AmazonListings.

  5. In the NetSuite Field ID column, enter the field ID for the flag field.

  6. Click Add Mapping.

  7. In the Add Amazon Field Mapping window, click the Corresponding Field drop-down and select Category.

  8. Click Add Mapping.

  9. Click Close.

  10. Locate the newly added CATEGORY mapping and click the Special Mapping – Click to Edit.

    The CATEGORY Mapping window opens.

  11. In the NetSuite Field ID field, enter the field ID of the flag field.

    Make sure the field ID entered in this field matches the field ID entered in step 5 and the Value field is blank.

  12. Click Save.

  13. (Optional) If the Reload Items window opens, click Yes, Reload my items.

  14. Click Save.

Mapping Amazon Fields in NetSuite Connector

When mapping Amazon fields in NetSuite Connector, you can now select the desired field from the available fields in your marketplace.

Note:

The Amazon field mapping is applicable to all product types that use the mapped field. When you add mappings to that are specific to a product type, NetSuite Connector will only post for product types that have that field.

To create an Amazon product mapping:

  1. Select Amazon connector and the relevant account.

  2. Go to Mappings > Products.

  3. From the Category list, select one of the following categories:

    • For price and quantity sync, select AmazonListingsPriceQty.

    • For full product sync, select AmazonListings.

  4. Click Add Mapping.

  5. In the Add Amazon Field Mapping window, select the field you want to map from the Corresponding Field drop-down list.

    You can filter the available fields in Corresponding Field by selecting a Product Type. By default, All Product Types is selected when you open the Add Amazon Field Mapping window.

  6. Click Add Mapping.

  7. Click Close.

  8. Locate the newly added mapping and enter the appropriate value on the NetSuite Field ID column. You will have different options to map depending on the selected Mapping Type.
