Selecting the India Tax Engine Plug-in
The India Localization SuiteTax Engine SuiteApp provides two tax plug-ins for tax calculation. You can use either plug-in to calculate taxes.
Changing the tax plug-in during the fiscal year doesn't affect your tax calculations. To switch tax engine plug-ins, follow the steps in To select a tax engine plug-in:.

NetSuite India SuiteTax Engine SS2 – If you choose this plug-in, use only the Administrator or India Tax Manager roles. This helps you avoid permission issues.

NetSuite India SuiteTax Plug-in – If you choose this plug-in, you can use any role for tax calculation. By default, it uses the India Tax Plug-in Manager role, which already has all the permissions you need.
To select a tax engine plug-in:

Go to Customization > Plug-ins > Manage Plug-ins.

On the Manage Plug-in Implementations page, check the box beside the tax engine plug-in you want to use.

Click Save.
