Importing India Tax Rules with a CSV File
You can import India tax rules using a CSV file. To import tax rules successfully, ensure the following:

Use the correct format when you create your CSV file.

Ensure the role you’re using to import has the Import CSV File permission. You’ll need this permission to use the Import Assistant feature and upload your CSV file.

Ensure that the Run Server SuiteScript and Trigger Workflows preferences are enabled in your account.

To import India tax rules with a CSV file:

Go to Setup > Import/Export > Import Tasks > Import CSV Records.

In the Scan & Upload CSV File step, do the following:

In the Import Type field, select Custom Records.

In the Record Type field, select a value based on the tax rule you're uploading:

For GST, select Tax Rate Rule.

For TDS, select any of the following:

Tax Deduction at Source
-
Education Cess
-
Secondary Education Cess
-
Surcharge
-
Vendor Exemption
-
-
For TCS, select TCS Tax Rate Rule.

Click Select to choose your CSV file.

Click Next.

In the Import Options step, do the following:

Select the appropriate data handling option.

To display additional settings, click Advanced Options.

In the Custom Form field, select Custom Tax Rate Rule Form.

Click Next.
-
In the Field Mapping step, you’ll see your CSV fields automatically mapped to NetSuite fields.

Click Next.

In the Save Mapping & Start Import step, do the following:

In the Import Map Name field, enter a name for your mapping.

Click Save & Run.
